from the data center to the living room.
This is a transformative transaction for Tech Data, one that we believe will bring significant opportunities to our company and all of our stakeholders, especially our customers.
Avnet Technology Solutions is a business that we’ve competed against and admired for many years. They have great people, great solutions, and great services, with a passion for winning similar to our own. Their expertise in value-added distribution is highly complementary to our Azlan business in Europe and our Advanced Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) business in the Americas, and it aligns perfectly with our growth strategy.
Here’s what the combination of Tech Data and Technology Solutions means for the IT ecosystem:

As excited as we are to start this journey together, it is important to emphasize that today is just the first step. The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Until the transaction closes, Tech Data and Avnet’s Technology Solutions business will continue to operate as separate, independent businesses, and we will work with our channel partners as usual. Your Tech Data contacts will remain the same, all current contracts will be honored, and there will be no changes in how we work with you.
