TL;DR: I would like to be able to sync 5 or 6 individual USB drives to a folder on PC/NAS as and when they are plugged in.
I have a user that insists on storing various stuff on an array of USB pen drives, so he can 'take it with him when needed' However he isn’t using the USB drives purely just for transportation, they often contain the only copy of some of his data.
I have stressed and stressed and stressed the potential problems with this, not to mention he can remote in to his PC when he wants, negating the need to take the data with him.
Anyway he isn’t going to change his ways so I was hoping I could set something up that any time he plugged a drive in it would sync it to a folder on the PC or better still the local NAS drive. I looked at SyncToy and Aoemi Backupper but unless I'm wrong they seem to be more suited to syncing a single drive, with an identifiable folder structure.
Is this maybe something for command line or scripts? I know little of either, but enjoy a challenge
Any help appreciated
