Because you’re a valued Square merchant, we are excited to offer you early access to Card on File in Register.
Use Card on File to securely and conveniently store your customers’ card information, enabling you to charge your returning customers seamlessly at any time in the future from the Square Register app.
This feature will be available within the coming weeks, and we would love for you to get our beta app so you will be ready to go when the feature is released.
Once a card is stored in a customer’s profile, you can charge your customer for all upcoming transactions. Card on File transactions will be charged the card-not-present rate: 3.5% + 15¢.
To gain access to this feature, download the Square Register beta app for Android:

Go to play.google.com/apps/testing/com.squareup.beta and sign in with the Google Account you use to get apps from Google Play.
Note: If you’re on your Android device, follow the link from the page once you've successfully joined the preview program to jump directly to Google Play.
2. In Google Play, search for “Square Register Beta Preview” and install it.

Open the Register beta app (it will appear as a blue Square icon on your device; the generally available version has a gray icon) and sign in to your Square account.
By downloading the app, you will be a member of Square’s Preview Program and will have the opportunity to help us improve upcoming features and tools in advance by trying them out and sharing feedback.
