Spybot S&D has LOTS of features in advanced mode

I never knew this program had an advanced mode where you could schedule scans, updates and a lot of other stuff. You can also set it to do specific tasks the next time the program is opened if you don't want it scheduled.

If you have never taken a look at the features under the advanced mode I highly suggest that you do. They could be very useful depending upon your situation.

Now only if they would allow you to select the drives or folders to scan instead of a full system scan. This would be helpful if you pull a HD from a machine and need to scan just that drive. Does anyone know if that is possible?

Yup...they've had Advanced mode...some neat tools.

As for scanning a single file, folder, or drive letter...it's a simple as a "Right Click"..and select "Scan with Spybot - Search & Destroy".

I thought that this was an option but it isn't on my machine for some reason. I can scan with ESET, MSE, and MBAM, but no S- S&D.

I think on the newer versions, it's now an option during the install process. Checkbox (blank by default) during options in the install, "Explorer Context Plugin" or something like that. Just try a reinstall over on top of itself and look..and when you see it put a check in that box.

I also always uninstall that teatimer option...can't stand that.
