First I would try a spell checker as your post doesn't make alot of sense.

You should take it to a tech, you cant really be A+ and not have some idea of what to do next.

Can we just have a button added so the first responder can hit it, lock the thread, and give the troll or end-user negative karma/something?

Edit: I just don't like feeding trolls.

They're clearly giving them away with every purchase of a ball-less mouth.

Mr. J,

If your A+ certified, you'll know exactly what to do.

I will however tell you that a 'brown-out' is more likely to cause problems with computers.

I would consider doing some tests on the computer to figure out what the issue was.

your post says "we had a problem with the power now the computer wont turn on"

my suggestion.. test the power supply.

Re:

You are putting down the A+ certification a little too fast. Just because some guy says he is A+, doesn't mean he is. Plus this home user, can't even spell.
I am sure he has Microsoft and Comptia certs.
I hate it when they come here and say " Whats woudl you guy does to fyx thiz?" It sure looks like the did some basic troubleshooting as an A+ tech!

We need that leet haxor button here! I am serious. If we don't get it, I am going to start messing with these guys and ad a little disclaimer to my advice.

This seems to happen a lot lately; these kind of threads where people are not actually technicians and seem to have found themselves at the wrong forum.

I personally have no respect for the A+ certs. I have meet many people with A+'s that I would not let program my VCR.

I have an A+ cert. I don't put much emphasis on it because I feel for myself that its a very low level and easily obtainable cert. The only reason I took the test after 10 years was I got tired of hearing "you aren't certified". Even though I could show them a+b+c=d on the spot. With all that being said test your psu, or find a known good working replacement. Check for blown and leaking caps on the mobo. And make sure all your components are properly seated. Oh and invest in a battery back up if you have power issues!

And one last thing, I'm not saying I know everything out there and I'm not trying to sound mean. But I will say this, make sure you do your homework first. From what I've seen this isn't a basic trouble shooting site. Its a heavy weight arena full of business owners that are here to learn and grow and exchange information, not trouble shoot minor problems.
