nice.

spell "... complaint we here ... "

all good and legitimate but only half the story.

in my experience:

- the endless resident 'update' programs from legit applications
- resident oem bloatware
- AVG
- what's the Norton/symantec thing that creates a virtual disk drive? (is it Norton?)

all major contributors to a machine running badly.

Thanks, did you notice I did the same thing with "there" instead of "their" just a few words later in that sentence? Sheesh!

I like it...one suggestion... "Junkware" in lieu of "Crapware"...some customers would be more receptive to that.

Yeah, "crapware" seems to lack a certain gentility doesn't it? I think of Junkware more as the stuff the manufacturers put on there. What about "foistware"?

Thanks for sharing. +1 I agree, the cr@p part is less than professional. Though we all know we use that term amongst ourselves. I always use malware. Industry standard term.

but it is descriptive :) i use malware or unwanted software or sneakyware or Armageddonware depending on the customer.

do you think anyone these days would recognise a 3.5in floppy disk?

Nice work.

So are you allowing us the right to copy and use this on our sites?

Yes, you are free to copy and use it. I would appreciate an attribution or link for the sake of Google-juice but it's not a requirement.

OK, I hear you. I've changed the reference to "Sneakware" which fits on the line and does not flirt so much with offence.

Thanks to everyone for your input!
