Slow Booting Gateway PC

I am working on a Gateway GT5220 PC. Customer tried to install a new hard drive for failing one and copy and pasted. Anyway the computer takes like 5 mins to post and load to bios screen. I have tried to load fail safe , and optimized, and shut off anything in bios that might cause the problem to no avail. I hate to return to customer in this shape. Any help greatly appreciated.

Common cause for POST delays is device misrecognition. Try minimal boot test.

did they really copy and paste instead of imaging the old hdd to the new one?

you can not copy and past one hard drive to the next and expect it to work.
clone the old drive to the new one.

I know that but they didn't. So I make $50/hour fixing it.
