Does anyone know of an application that will allow windows to see a mac file file system for Data recovery I've found mac drive is it worth the cost ? I don't have a mac to slave it to
Any help would be appreciated

If it is for data recovery, please confirm that you are connecting the clone to your windows system, not the original. What is the original problem that has lead to data recovery?

yes I am connecting to a windows system via sata cable the system got wet I'm assuming the board is shot i havent gfot the system in the shop yet just trying to get my ducks in a row so to speak

I have a feeling you mean data transfer rather than data recovery. If that's the case then try http://www.catacombae.org/hfsexplorer/ first of all. You can also boot to Linux and mount HFS+ volumes from there and copy what you need.

If you DO mean recover then I refer you to lcoughey's post just above.

Paragon HFS for Winders (and NTFS for Mac) are some great programs/drivers to have in your toolbox if you hop the OS fence from time to time. Small investment, and you'll make up for it on the first use.

yes i mean transfer rather than recovery :( sorry

Treat it as a recovery since you do not know it boots to a working operating system. In my book a data transfer is a drive that mounts to it's native operating system and no files are missing. Anything else I consider to be a recovery. Which R-Studio will do in Windozes as tek9 mentioned.

Read up on lcoughey's post in Resources about HD diagnosis, https://www.technibble.com/forums/resources/how-to-triage-a-hard-drive.17/ , making sure to read the technician work flow and fireman analogy part down towards the bottom. Best of luck!
