So I took apart this laptop to upgrade the SSD but I can't get it back together. Why? Because the fricking cables are like 1/2" long! What you're seeing is the back of the keyboard/upper palm rest assembly. Any ideas on how I can reconnect these cables?

That don't look fun at all

It has to be done somehow on the assy line. Whatever it plugs into must come out of the case so that you can assemble it bottom to top. It has to sandwich together somehow.

Looks like an HP Folio 13?

The keyboard is supposed to be removed from the top clamshell before taking apart the top/bottom clamshell. Once the keyboard is removed, it should be trivial. The power button cable etc have holes in the underside of the keyboard... akin to a Dell 1545 or similar.

And if it's an HP anything, you should be able to source the Service Manual for same from their support pages.

One of the few makers that does this. I can't count the number of times I've downloaded an HP service manual for the details of tearing down and putting back together.
