Hello,
I know this may be the wrong section, but it's not a good fit for the other categories I could see.
Like most companies, I've seen a large drop in customers that are able to stay open now a state of emergency has been declared and many businesses have closed even if they were not in the mandated industries to close. My company is already expecting cash flow to drop by over 75% within 30 days since most of our clients aren't asking their staff to go into the office or even work remotely since all schools are closed and they realize that makes work from home difficult. My colleagues and I are going to use the time freed up from our clients closing down to help out local small businesses that struggling and trying to stay open.
What experiences has anyone here had with things that are able to help out small businesses without a pandemic plan? Even if not experience, what ideas can anyone share on what we could be suggesting to help people? We're doing the standard remote worker set up for a few businesses. A couple of boutique shops that had no online presence are being set up for Wordpress and Woo Commerce so they can do online sales and deliveries. More than a few people have needed help in setting up for an effective team collaboration environment after realizing just having cell phones as the whole plan doesn't work so well.
What else am I missing here? This isn't the area we normally work in, so feedback on what else can help people keep their businesses afloat and still focus on social distancing would be greatly appreciated. This is for companies where they are running short on funds. Big-ticket purchases should be viewed as not viable for most of them.
Thanks,
Ray
