Rodgers Brand logos

This is either a really good idea or a really bad idea, but I decided to get a set of logos done to brand computers with.

The whole idea started with me wanting to get into custom computers. It then evolved into something to put onto every computer I sell even if it is already branded by a big name.

The sales pitch for this is:

Looking for a new computer? Make sure it is a Rodgers Built, Tuned, or Certified system. Rodgers Built computers are custom made powerhouses for any budget. Rodgers Tuned systems are new brand name computers with the best aftermarket components installed. Rodgers Certified systems are brand name computers and rebuilt machines that we have found to be reliable and can be used by gamers and novices alike.

On a side note I think I made the right decision to go with Bryan Vest instead of 48hourslogo.com or the guy who did my business logo.

seems a bit confusing. your company is Primary Technology and you name is Rodgers, but without knowing all of that, im going to Primary Tech to get a computer, and some logo from a rodgers guy is on there...

Why no go with Primary Technology Certified/built etc?

Agreed.

From a clients point of view, it would sound like he gave the computer to 'Primary Technology' to get it tune-up up. But 'Primary Technology' actually outsourced it to 'Rodgers'.

I don't know why, but the logo reminds me of one of the 'houses' from Harry Potter.

I would've thought, if you where going to brand a customers computer; then you would have your own company name and logo on it.

If you really are into the branding; theres a script in the Automation and Scripting section that you will like that is by iisjman07

I did say that it may have been a bad idea. I do think that I can make it work though with the right marketing.

Also the idea for the logo was kinda based on the Cadillac. I wanted to create a feeling of old school quality and get away from the super high tech sounding names like Origin and Alienware.

Plus I want to be immortal.

And Methical I love your signature.

I am not sure what the laws are in the USA, but in Australia, a personal guarantee will punch a hole in the protection that a corporation gives you.
The "Rogers Certified" one might be seen as a personal guarantee.

That is something I need to look into and I'm glad you brought it to my attention. I wonder if I can get around that by adding "by Primary Technology Solutions, Inc.". That might help remove any confusion around the brand.

But you're creating the very confusion that you're now trying to remove. IMO you're muddying the waters of your identity and and have created a logo that is frankly unattractive.

Why didn't you use your current logo and "Primary Technology Certified" or whatever?

It sounded too generic. I'm hoping that people will see this as a house brand instead of a sticker from another company on a branded laptop being sold by my company. I also hope that people don't take it as a personal guarantee. I don't want to sell junk and I will not sell an underpowered machine to someone. That is where the certification comes in. I guess we will see how this works out.
