Restoration help

I have restored my computer with the compaq restore cd because my computer would not do it, I wanted to restore to my last restore point but was unable to and had to go back to factory settings. None of my old data is on here now of course but would like to restore again to see if I can restore to a point where all my stuff was still here. Is this possible

Unlikely - going back to factory settings usually wipes everything off the drive. Data recovery *might* be possible, but it would be difficult and probably expensive.

You could look in C:\Documents & Settings\*your old user account*\ but chances are it has been wiped like JohnR says. Some restore CDs are kind enough to do a repair, but I don't know if compaq discs are that kind. If you really need the data back, stop using the PC ASAP as the more you use it the less likely you are to recover the data.
