Hi,

I'm working on a job to replace a Lenovo T60 LCD screen, the screen is cracked and I ordered a replacement from www.lcds4less.com. I gave them the part # of the laptop and they shipped me a screen next day. However, I'm having trouble with one of the connectors - it doesn't fit.

From the laptop, there's a flat ribbon cable that attaches to the back of LCD, that one fits okay, but at the bottom of the actual LCD, there's a little rectangular shape board with the power connector that is attached to the LCD screen, the small connector that I'm supposed to attach another flat cable from the laptop, but that one doesn't fit.

Is this the controller board of the screen? Can I take that controller out from the new LCD screen and use the old one instead?

I'd appreciate your help. This is supposed to be a CEO laptop that I'm fixing for a small company, so I'd like to have it done right!

Thank you very much.

The board at the bottom is the LCD inverter board. Assuming the old one works, you can swap them without any problems.

Thank you so much, I'm just swapping it now and putting back the laptop altogether. The inverter should be fine as the screen works but it was cracked.
