I got this on my USB drive the second I plugged in yesterday. Then again the next time I opened it 15 minutes later. It also spreads via network drives.
Worm:Win32/Vobfus.NI may create the following copies on available drives:
<Drive>:\passwords.exe
<Drive>:\porn.exe
<Drive>:\qxfiah.exe
<Drive>:\secret.exe
<Drive>:\sexy.exe
<Drive>:\subst.exe
It also places an "autorun.inf" file in the root folder of the drive, which allows the copies to run automatically whenever the drive is accessed and Autorun is enabled.
It also made a .exe for all of my folders on the drive. 30 in all.
Looks like a full format on this drive just to be safe. Made me want one of those drives with a write protect switch. Kanguru solutions still makes them.
Can you imagine if I would have used my flash at then next job with a old server and many networked computers?
