I am looking for a windows based tool that I will not need to use any kind of virtual machine software where I can monitor my small business contracts, maybe a total of 10 computers remotely so I know when I need to intervene and fix something before s*** hits the fan. Something like a heat issue hard drive issue things of that nature. Any suggestions.

yeah, I spoke to a Kayasa rep and, while the system sounds awesome, it is just way too expensive for me. I only have a few business clients and they only sell licensee in groups of 100....yikes.

I can't afford a monthly charge of $1100.

Kaseya has a new SaaS offering called IT Toolkit. It's the basic remote support utility for up to 25 computers.

They're in beta for another product called IT Center which will be the SaaS version of the full blown K2 with ticketing, scripting, etc.

Other tools to look at are

They have a standalone product that sells for a couple of grand the first year and then a smaller yearly renewal fee, however, they are rumored to be coming out with a SaaS version as well.

Spiceworks is an open source alternative, much cheaper but less robust then the commercial options.

Another vote for Spiceworks.
Bit of a pain to configure sometimes, but if you use Dell, HP etc kit, it grabs serial numbers of machines for inventory purposes.
Free, easy to use and reliable!
