Would love to hear any recommendations for reliable wifi-capable laser printers for residential use. Returning a Brother HL-2270DW that has networking issues and need a replacement asap!

I was gonna say the HL-2270DW Maybe ya just got a bad one. I have many many of these deployed with success.

Ive had an HP Laserjet P1102W for the last 18 months. Really good, does 000's of prints off one catridge and can even prints from my Ipad.

I agree. I have one and its been a great little (and inexpensive) printer so far. Currently connected wireless, and works great. Linux support is a plus as well.

Where is the printer located in relation to the router? My experience, wireless is pretty useless on most printers as they need to be so close to the router may as well plug in ethernet.

I third or fourth the recommendation of the Brother. Perhaps there was something wrong with the particular unit.

Yeah I was surprised myself since I had heard such good things about it and a similar model I have has been fantastic. But it simply would not set up any networking at all no matter what I tried. It did once, very briefly, and then the light on the ethernet port died and never lit up again. Everything downhill from there. On closer inspection of some Amazon reviews, I noticed a common theme with networking trouble. (It does everything else fine). Not many, but a decent number of people (some computer techs even!) reported massive problems with getting its networking to work.

Maybe I just got a dud. I am assuming no lights on the LAN port ever happening + no communication from it = dead. (Yes, I tried different cables). Think I should I give it another go or just pack it up for a replacement?

LOL, I have a HL-2270DW for my shop too and it has been a great solid printer for me. I have had to run the "Network Connection Repair Utility" once when the printer kinda just disappeared. I haven't had any issues other than that one time, chalked it up to a DHCP lease error or something

My "starter" toner cartridge began complaining of getting low 3 weeks ago, so I got an extended capacity toner cartridge... but the original one is still pumping out pages just as good as ever.

I have an old Brother 2140 monochrome, threw an old, cheap d-link wifi printer server on it. It's been working flawlessly for the past 3 years. lol
