We had a ddi4 which died about a year ago. We debated on replacing it with another or a rapidspar. We ended up going with the rapidspar because it can do some firmware fixes. It seems buggy and I suspect it is more likely to fail, I was regretting not going with the ddi4 again. I have wondered if the firmware fixing tool was more of a gimic. Today we ran a level two firmware fix on a 750gb Seagate drive and it made the drive work super well. Prior to this we were unable to run gsmartcontrol on it. Also it was really slow and unresponsive on our rapid spar. After the fix the drive was super fast to clone and we got a perfect recovery.
