Hello,

So I've used a few browsers over the years, I'm in windows 10 now and fancy a new browser for a change. I'm using chrome now but what are your opinions of the other alternatives out there?

This is like discussing religion or politics -- always an emotional topic. Get 10 people together and you'll get 12 opinions. You also have to take the user's technical capabilities into consideration.

In the "old" days (5+ years ago), there WAS a difference between browsers -- security, rendering speed, conformance to standards, etc -- but today, they're GENERALLY equivalent. In most cases, it comes down to personal preference.

I had been using chrome of years. Just this week i switched to firefox. Chrome was sluggish and not responsive.Sites would crash maybe 20 times a day! I have been liking Firefox. No crashes. Nice and smooth.

i like chrome mostly because i have a Samsung Note 4 and can sync my bookmarks to my phone.
i also like how it syncs my extensions between pc's and has a good range of extensions.

Being on Windows 10 also i tried the new Edge browser but not really impressed with it, seems to be lacking features or something.

This question will come down to personal preference and reasons why they like one compared to the others.
Apple or Android is another one you will get a hot topic on

I was always using alternative browsers, even back when IE had version 4....and Nutscrape came out with Navigator...used that until the Gecko engine came out. Then went to Opera..,..then to Firefox. When Google released Chrome...I've been a fan of that ever since. Plugins work reliably, overall the browser is more crash resistant. It is very resistant to malware with its built in "sandbox" feature. Another big plus...I can sync it across all devices...all my bookmarks and settings flow down to any computer I use just by signing in.

I'll give Winders 10s new browser a chance for a while...but doubt it will replace Chrome.

Well thanks all, I opted for Firefox for now over chrome which I can safely say I've used for 3 plus years. Let's see how I go with Firefox [emoji106]

I am running Win10 and use the Edge as default which has some nice features. But being a new browser it's not good on some sites so I fall back on ie11 or firefox.
