I have seen some threads on work areas and work benches, but I have not found any specific to lobbies, store fronts or retail areas, which is what the customers sees. I figured I would start a thread for anyone wanting to post their pictures of these areas.

I would also like to open this up to mobile techs who want to post pictures of their vehicles or themselves / employees with their professional attire.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO QUOTE SOMEONE, PLEASE DELETE THE IMAGES.

I just recently started building up my retail area, and I am quickly realizing that I do not have a whole lot of space. That said, I am making due and I think its coming together nicely.

Theses are pictures of the shop 10 months ago before I had to expand and block off the drop off / pick up point and make it part of the shop. This is also before I got any retail and before I put my refurbs on the shelves.

These are pictures that I just recently took. Sorry, the quality is not so great.

Ok, PCX, that storefront I downright snazzy! I like how clean and uncluttered it is, and really dig your color choice.

Thanks. If you seen some of the other shops in my area, then you would understand exactly why I made it a point to make it look as nice and clean as possible. We have one shop that people walk out of all the time and then come into our shop and tell us how the other shop smells like cigarettes and is dirty. Most of those same customers comment on how refreshing our shop is and how much they like the green. When I first moved in though, you can see that it was very empty and I got a lot of comments on that too. It looks way better with the slat walls up and with retail items hanging up. Also, I think the new counter is a nice touch too.

In short, I made it a point from the very beginning to not look like all the other dirty or ghetto computer shops in my area.

Wow, nice setup PCX! Love the green and the bold logo/header over the chairs. Way to reinforce your brand and professional image!

At the risk of embarrassment, I'll post a few pics of my humble place (I'm a one-man-show and just opened last month). It's more of an office/shop that has a few "store-like" features. It's small, only two rooms (lobby and work area), but it's affordable and well suited to my needs so far.

SilverLeaf, there is no reason to be embarrassed. You got to start somewhere and from what I can see, its better than my first "hole in the wall" office space that I started with. I think that if you keep it clean and professional, you will be fine. Good job on making it work.

K.I.S.S. works in every aspect of life! Awesome job, giving me some ideas! ;)

I like your front area PCX.. we're remodeling soon so I'll wait to post pictures for our shop...

One thing I'd ask for this thread, and maybe you can put it in the OP.. PLEASE don't quote 25 pictures to post a one line response(or actually any response, just don't do it).. biggest forum pet peeve ever. It takes 3 seconds to delete out the images from the quote.

I thought that when I replied, but didn't think it was that big of a deal since his store is that sexy. Also, I counted 4 pictures, not quite 25.

It is a nice shop. I am a bit surprised that you are still using CTR monitors .. . .

We called 'em "CRT's"...back in the day they were used. :D

Wouldn't take long with savings in the electricity bill to invest in some LCDs......even picking up some old used/cheap 17" models...pay for itself in a handful of months.

Been there...done that! Heh...just ribbin ya! ;)

Time to sign off for the night and go read. Wife got done reading "50 Shades of Grey" and is onto the 2nd book of that trilogy..wants me to read them after her, so I'm starting the first book.

Those married guys that haven't heard of the book..Google it. Jeeeze it puts the wives sex drive through the roof! :D

Not that I'm complaining! :D:D

...and then catch up on sleep..tired from 2x back to back nights of juggling around a VMWare farm...re-provisioning LUNs, etc.
