POST SP3 Updates Integrated CDs

Hello Everyone,
I use to use ryanvm's post sp2 / sp3 updates to integrate all updates into the XP cds so I can do installs faster. I have not created a SP3 CD in a while but ryanvm no longer makes the post sp3 update packs and onepiece makes them.

Anyone here work with his stuff lately or what are you guys using to make POST SP3 Update CDS?

I had this working with an unattended install which kicked off WPI wizard and I could install windows with all my software unattended in less then 1 hour.

Anyone else using this I could use a bit help on it...

I only got a XP SP2 disc so use nlite to SP3 with all latest updates normally make a new one every month or so depending on how many updates from Microsoft.


Then I add WPI to run after install.


I've had play with RVM but went back to to nlite as I found it easier.

Only thing I need to enter is the product key everything else is auto

which update pack are you using to integrate latest updates for the sp3 cds ?

With nlite you dont have software packages like RVM just use the individual updates which I get download via http://softwarepatch.com/ I have a folder of all the updates from SP3 which I select within nlite when making my CD.

I finally settled on installing with an SP3 disk and then use WSUS. Seems nearly as fast and I can update other items e.g. Office, IE, DotNet etc.

I agree, I had a disk that I had manually splistreamed with all the latest updates and then ran a batch file that installed IE8 plus updates and dot net....etc.....

Needless to say it was a pain to keep updated, so all I use right now is a basic unattended disk with SP3 and sata and lan drivers. I then use WSUS or windows update to update the install and use batch files from a network share to install any needed applications.

I use OnePieces Post SP3 updates all the time. I integrate them with Ryan's RVM Integrator. Then I use nLite to tweak, automate, integrate addons, and then create the ISO.

In fact I just finished making one today with his latest v3.9.0 and Ricktendos MCE addon for my HTPC.
