Possible Logo Revision / Please provide feedback

So I have recently decided to possibly revise our logo. I like our current design but would really appreciate some feedback from others in the business. And be honest

By the first one, you mean our current logo or #1. I guess I should have made them all have numbers.

I like your original logo. It's clever. If I had to choose out of the two new ones, I'd pick the last one.

First one, definitely. It's clearer, especially from a distance. (And by "first one" I mean the revision possibilities, not original). Only thing I might change is getting rid of the "glossy" effect on the typeface, maybe...I'm personally getting a little weary of that effect but it's not a big deal.

Just received An email from a third party regarding a DMCA takedown notice. Apparently the designer who made my #1 revision copied someone else's work a little too much. I am thinking of just sticking with my original logo. I requested a refund from 48hr logo but it was refused. Really like that little geek mascot though.
