Received the phone with the request to do a deep factory reset down to the root/system partition that seems to still be compromised after a "normal advanced reset".
Apparently a brand new phone, it got infected when attempting to open a text message received from an ex.
A mobile phone repairs service would have detected a trojan embedded in the system partition and said that it would be un-cleanable, even through hard advanced reset.
I was under the impression that the system partition was inaccessible to any non-system intervention.
During the hard reset process, some error messages related to some areas access being denied seemed to be the basis of the claim that something suspicious is happening (see attached pic).
This doesn't appear to be a case of concern from my limited knowledge, but as said I'm not really familiar with phones partition schemes.
Can the system partition get compromised?
Can an infection survive a hard reset?
