PC-Doctor Service Center 8.0 available today

Hello all. I recently purchased PC-Doctor Service Center 7.9 and saw on PC-Doctor's FB page that Service Center 8.0 launches today. I just got off of phone with their sales dept. and it appears that I was not on the mailing list for their newsletter (that's why I was not sent an email notification about the release of 8.0). Anyways, they are giving me all updates except for the PE software for free as digital links. M$ would not allow them to distribute the PE updates digitally, so I had to pay a total of $20 for that (10 for update, 10 for shipping). Just wanted to put it out there so anyone that uses PC-Doctor can get the updates if they wish.

I wonder how much they will charge me for an update? It cost me to go from 7.5 to 7.9 because I had to have a new dongle.

I purchased 7.9 in March so I believe I have the latest dongle. It is free for me to flash my dongle (LOL!!!). Seriously though, they sent me a link and instructions on how to flash the USB dongle. They are mailing me the updated PE software (discs I assume). I would call them if I were you Martyn. You may end up getting the same deal as I.

Yeah apparently since I purchased my kit from Amazon I was not put on the mailing list for the newsletter (or maybe I just neglected to sign up or something, I don't know). Thank goodness for my addiction to facebook.

Just out of curiosity, did you notice a big difference/benefit to upgrading to 7.9? I'm still on 7.5 and have been considering upgrading mostly because my dongle is bent in half (still works, for now).

No I didn't but they told me the 7.5 dongle wouldn't be compatible so I needed a new one for 7.9.
