I have a system here -

Asus Strix B550-F Gaming Wi-Fi
AMD 7 3700X
32GB Corsair DDR4 RAM
NVIDIA 1660 GFX

Client had built system themselves and was working for a week or two. Then suddenly wont display - no signal.
So I checked

RAM
GFX
CPU
CABLING
ANOTHER PSU

This is where I thought the issue may be - BIOS Update for board. Though it was my understanding these two should be fine out of the box?

So anyway I updated the BIOS to no effect same thing all fans spin lights etc though no POST.

It has a Q-LED system on board as follows -

BOOT= NOTHING THIS IS WHERE IT SHOULD BE GREEN AND PROCEED
VGA = WHITE
CPU = RED
DRAM = ORANGE

So at the boot phase, it loops back through the Q-LEDS and never ends. So my thoughts are it must be a CPU >comm< to Board issue?

As I tried a different CPU a AMD 2700 in it and booted straight up, so the board is not an issue.

So frustratingly annoying..:eek:

Pulled the BIOS battery and left it out for a couple of hours?
Is it using DVI? HDMI? for the display?
Try each or swap cables?

I've had this before but cant remember what it was.

@Philippe - I tried most of the BIOS, though will try that direct link to the CPU - It should be compatible going via that list though.
@Porthos - that is what I thought, though as stated I have tried BIOS updates.

The CPU must be the issue, I do not have another 3700x laying about so cannot test. Though as I stated I tried with a 2700 with no issues.
