Does anyone here have a P.O. box setup for their business? Why?

All my stuff can get delivered to my home, as there is someone usually there to sign for it, if need be.

I have a box at the local UPS Store. They take any size package and you get a text message/e-mail when you recieve a package. I live in an apartment complex, so it is easier for me to get packages at the UPS Store. Another thing to think about is, if you want everyone to know your home address. I use my UPS box as my main business address (other than some liceneses and such), especially since you get a street address and not a P.O. Box.

PO box is OK

I use a PO Box at the local Post Office. I have a office and a shop at my home and I tell my customers "Who Ask" the reason I do business in this manner.
Since 90% of my work is in the clients office or residence there is no reason to have a retail storefront as it would force me to hire someone to be there when I cant and it would cause me to charge more.

My two cents...

We're a mobile service with no brick and mortar storefront. I also have a box at the local UPS store. All my business mail goes there, and all packages are delivered there, no matter what the carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.) The UPS staff notifies us when we have a package, and I don't have to worry about customers coming to my home.

A p.o. box can have more advantages than disadvantages. From experience, UPS, FEDEX, & DHL all have that terrible 10% of guys delivering packages that quality of work depend on how well their day is going. There's nothing like anticipating a part being delivered to your front door to complete a job and the part doesnt get delivered because the the deliverer fell behind on his route. So one reason to go with p.o. box is the greater chance of packages getting delivered on time. They can't lie and say no one answered the door. And the part doesn't get delivered at seven thirty during dinner.
