oh good grief, so the godaddy rep struggled and couldn't do it, he finally upgraded him to outlook 2016, it was free so that was worth it, got everything imported, then my client mistakenly deleted a file...his wife called for my backup so that would be just the archive.pst right???

Yes. If it's not in archive.pst then it's in the regular outlook. Exchange should have an undelete option.

jeez, the godaddy rep just set him up with the online link to his mail, he deleted the file then deleted it from the trash, pretty much gone I'm afraid, there's no right-click restore option with the web interface. The outlook local install throws up an error that it can't access account, blah,blah, (she showed it to me remotely) I just zipped his pst and transferred my copy to his desktop and advised her to contact godaddy again and told her to tell her husband to quit deleting things. LOL

As I mentioned if it's a current version of Exchange O365 then they do have an undelete. But I will also say I'm not really a fan of Godaddy O365 support. I've got a customer who uses them for that. I've found their support to be really lacking compared to Appriver.

yeah, he kinda sounds like he knows about as much as I do about outlook, I guess that's true cuz he didn't really do anything but point him to the webmail, I could've done that I guess.
