Have a user who made some bad rules and now "missing" emails are found in IPM_Subtree.

Cannot figure out how to access this in Outlook 2016. Mr. Google is full of information but it is all outdated and doesn't appear to be applicable.

Anyone know how to access the top level in Outlook 2016?

Thanks!. We had found the missing emails but they are somehow locked. I've rebuilt her profile and resynced. It looks like the bad changes didn't actually get pushed to the server (phew!) so a fresh sync should solve it.

Not sure what we would have done had the server not had them... learned a lesson and moved on, I guess.

ya - she basically set up a TON of rules that had really detailed actions, and then deleted the destination folders where the rules were supposed to be running. The rules ran and then just dumped all the matching emails into the accounts top_level. Frick!
