Outlook 2007 Disconnected - Fixed

If you have Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2007, or SBS 2008, and have been seeing the extremely problematic and annoying "Disconnected" button in the bottom right hand corner of your exchange, I might have the fix for you.

Go to the registry on the PC that has the Disconnected problem and edit the registry...
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\RPC
DWORD value: "DefConnectOpts" and make it "0"

(if RPC key doesn't exist, create it)

Or, you can use this file to enter the registry settings.

For me it cleared the prob immediately after a reboot. I've been told that if it doesn't, leave the PC on and connected for a few hours and it should reconnect and not have the prob again.
