Saw this in The Hacker News.. Ain't technology great! Since people are carrying around more connected stuff, including things like fitbit and other monitors, this gets collected.

In the article an app maker called Strava created user heat maps. And some of them were military bases, possibly secret ones.

Yeah, saw that on the news recently. Nobody really pays attention to what they give up for the sake of the next really cool gadget/app/toy.

Even worse, the military was handing out some of these devices in an effort to boost fitness, though I'm not sure if the ones they were passing out were GPS models.

Everybody already knows about Area 51 anyway. I've seen lots of satellite photos of it. And I've seen shows on TV where people get as close as they can with night vision cameras. They usually end up watching guards who are watching them.
