Hi nibblers,

I'm installing office 365 as a part of a windows xp to windows 7 upgrade I'm performing on a few computers for a client.

It appears I need to sign up for a Microsoft account to do this. They want names, addresses, date of births, emails, etc etc... Obviously I don't want to out my details in here. Am I going to have to verify the email address as well? Client is on holidays, don't want to disturb them asking for this information, is there another way ? Say install it and then sign them up for a Microsoft account once I drop it back to them. I need to migrate all their outlook express email to outlook, rather do it here then onsite.

Microsoft continue to make things difficult for their customers. This compulsory information gathering for a product I've already paid money for is just annoying. When will they learn?

This is one of problem I have found. What I do is open the office 365 account with standard details then go through later with the customer and change it to real info so

Name and email address you know
So date of birth 1/1/80
Post/zip code I use the post office.
