Anyone encounter this? I haven't done a lot of troubleshooting, I have to go to bed so I can be at their office early in the morning.
I just completed a migration to O365 and uninstalled Office 2007 (which worked fine) and installed Office 2016 on 5 workstations. After completing the install and setup of all of the email accounts I noticed that when I open documents (so far only tested word), from a mapped drive Word just goes "Not responding" and crashes. When opening documents from a UNC (User folders are redirected) or locally, everything works normally.
I'll check back in tomorrow after I do more troubleshooting and if I find a solution before anyone else does I'll post it. I just wanted to see if someone had seen this before I show up in the morning.
Luckily they don't use the maps much as they mainly use a DB for day to day operations so it won't be a huge problem, but I'm sure someone will run into the crash in the next couple of days.
EDIT: Can confirm issue also exists in Excel. Issue also exists when not only opening documents from a mapped drive but also attempting to save documents to a mapped drive.
