Hopefully looking for a little advice regarding an annoying desktop I have in at the moment.

Original memory was 3x 2gb Corsair. Unit was brought in because the customer had fitted a new GPU and didn't get any video output.

I remove the Graphics card and I put in our test graphics card. Still no output. Reset the CMOS using the jumpers and I suddenly get video on the screen.

Decide to boot into Memtest to check the memory, Fails instantly. I remove 1 of the sticks, memtest runs perfectly fine for a good few hours.

Turn off the machine for 30 minutes believing i've found the problem and leave it. Decide to turn it back on for a last confirmation of it working, No Video output. I replace our test GPU with the customers original GPU, No output.

Reset the jumpers again with the customers original GPU and original 2x 2gb (leaving the 1 stick out that displayed errors) System boots up again with video output.

Leave it on for a bit and it works fine. Switch it off for a while, turn back on, NO VIDEO!!

Decide to put in 1 stick of 4gb that was brand new. No video output. Reset the jumpers once again, and the system boots.

It seems that whenever the system is left a while, it causes issues. If I replace an item, for instance I switch out the GPU or add/remove a stick of memory there is no video output anymore.

The only way I can get it to POST and to boot to windows is after I reset the Jumpers by removing and replacing the plastic cover.

I'm leaning towards it being a faulty Motherboard but was wondering what you guys would make of a similar issue.

So far I have tried the following: (though everything works in all configurations if I reset the Jumpers)

Customers PSU, GPU and Memory = No video
Customers PSU, Our GPU and Customers Memory = No Video
Customers PSU, Our GPU, Our Memory = No Video
Our PSU, Customers GSU and our Memory = No Video
Our PSU, Our GPU, Our Memory = No Video

I'm out of Ideas.

Sounds like a faulty motherboard but it COULD be a grounding issue. You also need to test using as minimal a system as possible. Might try pulling the motherboard and booting it up bare on the bench, out of the chassis.
