I'm having my website redesigned and wondered what you guys thought about the new design so far. Image attached.

Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

Very sleek and professional looking, even to the point where I'd say the average home user browsing might feel out of place perceiving it to be high-end business support only.

EDIT: apologies for the typo!

i actually preffer your original site in your signature ableit with a few tweaks required on it.

What is it you prefer about the original site? From an SEO perspective I need to alter it, but I could do that with that site. I wanted something that had a more professional feel, but now I wonder if it's going to appeal to home users. That's the problem trying to cater for both home and business users.

I prefer your sig site. It's more appealing to the eye and it has a good colour scheme.
In regards to the professional look I personally feel that it is "professional" enough.
Compared to some other sites I have seen it is quite well designed.
What wp template are you using?

Regards,

I agree with most of the folks above. I prefer your original site. It's brighter and more appealing to the eye. The new design is sleek, but it's a bit too corporate and dark.

I also agree that which ever site you go with, your contact info needs to be more prominent.

Haha, yeah, it's always tough when you ask for opinions because, as opinions go, everyone's is different.

What you can do is keep the old site design files, change the site to the new design, and see if you customer contact via the web improves. If so, keep it, if not, don't be too proud to go back to the old way. It's all about testing what your customers will actually respond to!

Excellent suggestion. You make a great point about not being afraid to revert.

While I like the new one I would be a little concerned about it not being user friendly enough. To many websites these days do all they can to look great and lose all functionality because of it!

Personally I want something the user is going to find easy to navigate over something that looks good.

I like the design, but I'm concerned that the overall darkness of the theme will have an adverse effect on your conversions. Do a google search for "psychology marketing of color black" and you'll see what I mean.

I agree with this too, it looks great but might scare off home users...

I agree but it might look better if you use a bright color scheme
