Had a business talk to me about a "maintenance plan" so I went to see them and all I heard was all the problems they were having. Said no problem we can handle it. Then she tells me that she is having another company come in also to talk (all in all 3 companies).
So she ends up telling me to submit a bid and also a "plan of action" of exactly how I would fix their problems.
So I sent in the bid and also put this:
"I know you wanted to see a “plan of action”, and I have attached a document that covers our company along with just a few of the relevant contracts that we have in place now and have had in place for quite some time which speaks for our customer service. For me to attempt to give a detailed “plan of action” to correct your problems would be foolish on my part because I do not have in-depth knowledge of your network setup or what
has/has not been done as of date. I could easily throw some buzz words on a document that might look pretty impressive but it would really be a waste of time for both you and me. You do not strike me as the type that just wants to be appeased, so I see no reason for that."
What is amusing is I priced it in a way sort of hoping they did not accept it due to thinking they could be "high maintenance", but 4 days later phone rings and a new contract...
