Needing help preparing first MSP proposal for 36 month agreement lease

Hello,

I am trying to prepare an MSP proposal for an existing break fix client. They are interested in doing a 36 month lease that includes all new hardware, software and managed services. Does anyone have experience with proposals like this? Could someone please share an example proposal with me or tell me where to get started? I'm nervous that I will miss something. Need to cover all the bases. My brain is currently bleeding. LOL

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
 
Software? Of course it depends what software but, from what I remember, you can't lease software. You can (re)sell it though. And what is sold is a license to use the software, not ownership. The software developer remains the owner of record.

But you might want to take a long hard look at this. Especially the financials.
 
There's all sorts of ways to lease software, Microsoft in particular is full of them.

But if you want persistent licenses, there are financing firms out there that specialize in financing that too.
 
Not to be harsh, but if you have never done an MSP proposal, I certainly wouldn't recommend putting 36 months up to bat.

Have you provided anyone with a managed service?
Find out:
-What MSP software are you going to use. (Solarwinds, Ninjarmm, remote access, antivirus, firewall, wireless networking)
-What you SLA is.
-What your rates and outside of covered work/products are billable.

If you have never done it, or don't know answers to the above, try looking up competitors and scour as much information and test from there. Everyone has their own secret recipe, not to forget each have requirements of minimum endpoints, terms, and possibly start up costs.

Let me better explain what I mean. First of all I've been running my own IT company for 20 years. Been doing Managed Services the last 5 yrs. I just recently found out that I can sell a client everything they need, hardware, software, networking, cloud, email, hosting. etc. and bundle it all into a 36 month lease. I have done hundreds of proposals, just never one like this. I am reading that a lot of MSP's are going to 36 month agreements. Just checking to see if any of you guys have done this and if so could you help me. I'm willing to pay the right person for their time and mentoring.
