I have been looking for the past 3 hours all over Google to find out what Toshiba laptop just came to me. The serial and model # are all worn off. I found this part number on one of the bottom panels that belongs to the Wireless NIC. PA3373U-1MPC. Seems to belong to a A65-S1762 but that laptop is a little different as far as media button placements and input ports. I need to find an adapter for this particular laptop before doing anything else obviously. Guy said his brother gave it to him and had lost the Charger. I can only find that its a 19v charger but not the amps. According to Toshiba if the model were the one listed above it would be 6.3A, but if it's not....well.

The product key is still on the laptop. Would there be a way for MS to tell me what Laptop it might belong to? Seems to be resold by ECN Computers in Rowlett, TX.

Battery info: DC 104V 6450mAh model # PA3383U-1BRS

Definitely not a L-shaped connecter.

Just need to know what kind of charger it needs and the rest is downhill. Please help!

Does it boot at all ? Can you get into the BIOS ?

Take the keyboard out and read the part number from it and search for it on ebay. That should tell you almost the exact model of the computer.

As far as the charger goes, if you are sure about the voltage, all you need is a 19v toshiba charger with a tip that fits the laptop. Amperage is not critical as long as it is sufficient to power the unit. More amps won't hurt anything. Matching the voltage is the crucial part.

A good universal charger is great to have on hand for such occasions. The only times I've had an issue is with some of the huge multimedia laptops that require a 120w adapter. My universal will supply around 100w max.

No, no charge whatsoever. He brought it in dead. Good idea with the keyboard. Didn't think of that. I'll dig into it tomorrow and let you guys know ASAP (arounf 7 MP CST tomorrow)

Thanks a lot for the help!! :D

Try a "Universal Adapter".
Go into BIOS
Check the specs.

On adapters, if the voltage is correct, you can up the amps.....65 watt vs. 90watt, etc.

Voltage must be correct.

Hi Maincore, be careful with Toshiba's model number.....it may say model M7 but there are several variants of some of their models.

The reason i mention this is because i got an EXCELLENT deal from a 'pizza tech' on a local buy/sell website last week. He had a Toshiba M7 for sale for €90.00 (label says Tecra M7 on it but that's all). He said it had a faulty motherboard but for some reason i took the chance of buying it for myself (i like laptop/tablets for customers signatures) and for the sake of €35.00 which is what i got him down to it was worth the punt.

Anyway, i guess it must have needed a new keyboard at some stage so he must have googled M7, found a keyboard for the M7, ordered, got it delivered, installed it and its 'behaving weirdly' as he said to me. The M7 keyboard he ordered WAS for the M7 but NOT the M7-102 which this is. The M7 keyboard has a trackpoint on the keyboard, hence it wouldn't work correctly, the M7-102 DOESN'T have a trackpoint...... i ordered the correct keyboard and have a nice shiny Toshiba for €60.00 incl keyboard!!!!!

I know your guessing that its a A65-S1762 - is this based solely on the wireless NIC that is used?
