Need help on stickering vehicle

I would like to get stickers put on my Jeep, but I honestly have no clue how to go about doing this. I don't want to put anything on the windows since I plan on buying a soft top in the spring. I'm thinking of getting a custom cover for the spare tire that has a list of some services, my logo, and phone number. I attached some images and I appreciate any help with this.

Many of your local hot rod shops can point you to a good vinyl graphics company. Don't use a cheap on and don't put them on your self unless your much more patient than me. You could also get vehicle magnets from Vista Print, those work well too and I have my contractors put them on their cars when the go to jobs for me. Its also good to have a few friends who will put them on as well.

I get a lot of business from our vehicle stickers. I also get a call from time to time commenting on bad driving behavior...LOL

I'm going to have someone else actually do it for me, but I'm not too sure about placement.

Visually I would keep your name / logo on the door and put the phone number and web site under it on the door as well. The tire cover would look great too. Your logo is nice and colorful which will grab their attention, you don't want them looking around for the phone number.

I'm sure you'll get plenty of suggestions on where and how to do your graphics. But I notice that neither your company name, nor website address, nor sample graphics reveal anything about what you're selling. Where's even a hint that you repair computers? Where's the call to action? How will someone with a broken computer recognize that YOU are their salvation?

It's not often anyone will drive around thinking, "Hmm . . I wonder where can I get some primary technology solutions . . .wait a minute! Look at that jeep!"

Whatever route you choose for your graphics, try to make them productive and not just displayed.

That is my biggest concern. I don't have the space on the Jeep and I would rather not cover the windows. If I consolidate all of the contact information underneath the logo I could put something along the lines of "Computer and IT Services" above the rear fenders. I am also thinking of putting something like that on the spare tire cover along with the logo, phone number, and web address. I think the next Jeep I get will be a 4-door so I can expand the information.

Certainly an eye catching truck - very nice indeed !!

I'm also looking at logo-ing my car - does anyone know if there are insurance implications in doing this ?

Someone suggested to me that it puts the premiums up quite a bit as it makes your vehicle a 'target' for the local scumbags to break into looking for computers, parts and tools - anyone any experience with this?

Our cars and vans all have contravision over back windows and back panels all wrapped.

UK insurance companies are so backwards that depending on your policy it will invalidate it. Took us days phoning around to get insurance.. the vans where no problem but the cars where a nightmare as they class as non standard modified vehichles. Premuims were just standard costs no increase aslong as we agreed that we werent looking for them to be covered for replacement in the policy althought some companies where definately trying to extract the urine with their quotes. My advice call your insurance company and take from there.

As for target for thiefs we have never had a problem wth breakins to any of our cars or vans whiich not to say it not a problem elsewhere or that we have just been lucky.

Signwriting is my original background and although I'm not practising I still like to keep up with what is going on in the industry.
Your logo uses colour gradients so this rules out the simple method of cutting the components from a roll of vinyl in solid colours and sticking them straight onto the vehicle.
You will need to have them digitally printed, there are quite a few systems on the market to do this. The biggest pitfall to this method is colour-fastness/UV stability. If you get them done on the cheap the reds in particular will fade rapidly IE: +/- 12 months. and the other colours will wash out shortly after.
I would ask for a written undertaking from whoever provides the prints about the life expectancy of the job.
I find applying them to be a no-brainer but like most things it's easy once you've done the first couple, there are dry and wet methods and a dozen different variations on each but it might save you a set of ruined prints to get the provider to install, the cost to install vs supply only should be negligible anyway.
Placement is entirely up to you and your budget, for my two vehicles I have the front doors and hatch lettered with our url in plain white on the front and rear glass.
Other options would be to letter the bonnet (hood US?), mirror lettering on the windscreen and/or bonnet for viewing through the rear view mirror of the vehicle in front and lettering the roof.
Personally I'd like a programmable LED message centre in the rear glass, but that's not for advertising, more for messaging the person behind me about their driving habits
HTH,
David

Here is a quickie I made since I was bored.

Thanks! I was under the impression that CompTIA frowned upon using the logos that way.

I'm beginning to realize that I picked the wrong vehicle for advertising purposes. Next time it will be one of the newer four door models.
