I am very into the old Lucasarts and Sierra classics was as a kid and still am. Though back in the day all I could afford was the usual Soundblaster. The high end rich kids or parents who composed music may have had a device called Roland MT-32. This device played every note possible rather than the adlib cards could. It is setup with roms that *cough* are illegal for the MT-32 that control the device. It incorporates this with a program called MUNT as can be seen in the third image.

So I built my own MT-32 Pi - runs on a Pi Zero 2. I admit it was very fiddly to build then find the cabling to work though am back in nostalgia though with the sound I always wanted :) I just love hacking around with tech things and the end product is fantastic!

A real Roland-MT-32
