Multiple Network Printer Install

I've been looking for a program that will allow me to automate the process of installing multiple network printers. I'd like it to be GUI based and have some sort of configuration file I can add and remove entries from.

I have searched and searched but haven't found anything that works. My programming skill isn't up to the task either. I was hoping maybe one of you have come across such a program. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

If it's a network based on active directory...I deploy printers from the server using Group Policy. Made wicked easy with the Print Server manager that came along with Server 2008....easy peasy GUI skin.

Right now I'm deploying about 12 replacement desktops at a client....by about the 3rd log in on the domain all 20+ printers are automatically installed, for every user account since it's pushed to the computer object.

Well, I work at a satellite office of a large corporation. Group policy is administered by corporate and I have no access.

Specifically, I'm trying to streamline the process of deploying PCs for our remote workers. One of the steps is installing 2 printers that reside here in the building. One HP, one Lexmark.

They're installed by IP address. I'm looking for some way to script or automate the installs but my searches come up short. Both HP and Lexmark have a "Universal Print Driver" package, which works, but when shipping 10 PCs a day, clicking next 27 times eats up valuable time. As well as the possibility of mis-typing the IP - whick would cause problems down the line.

The net use commands can do that. Can't you send them a script to run on login on the domain. If not you should be able to run a local script but the drivers need to be already on the machine.

OK so the best tools for this job are already in place...the best tools period.
If you're responsible for deploying workstations, logically you should have the rights to make a request to have access to this...or at least to be able to access the OUs so you can move those computers into the OU that the Print Deploy GP is applied to. If you have the ability to join a workstation to the domain, you are already 1/2 way there. Those computers will default to the "Computer" OU...it's now a matter of "moving" them to the OU that designates your branch.
