MSN Virus, help please!

Hey, I seem to have a virus that when I sign in I send a link to everyone on my list. People are complaining and several have blocked me.

What can I do to remove this? Any Virus detector specifically designed for MSN or something?

I believe I had a friend with this and spybot found it and killed it.

Change your password to your MSN messenger account also, Make sure it is a Secure password , use a phrase and a mix of numbers and special characters, Also.. Uninstall MSN messenger... Do a thourough virus Scan with AVAST or AVG.. and a Spybot scan then go re download MSN messenger and re install it
that should cure it!

The changing password isn't required if your like me and only use it for the IM I don't use my hotmail email account and barely use the IM feature of MSN Messenger. Id give you all my password if I remembered it but I got a good idea what it is.

is the virus removed?

My msn encountered a similar virus attack as Demonic Boo yesterday and would like to ask whether the suggestions mentioned by other members were effective in removing the msn virus.

A friend had got what ever infection it was about 3 weeks ago I ran his AV software which didn't pick up anything. The only thing his AV mentioned was that his PC was sending out like 600 emails. It didn't care to block only to inform that it was all sent or attempting to send. I ran Spybot Search & Destroy and the emails stopped trying to send and the infection is gone.

A friend recommended me to download Windows Live One Care (its near to 30M). I m not sure whether the virus has been removed but so far, I did not face problems like msn messenger disabling itself halfway when I am using or sending random messages (containing the virus link) to my contacts.
