MS Refurb Licences (UK)

Hi everyone

Just to let you all know, that VIP computers (based in Warrington), are now no longer distributors for Microsoft, they are now Gold partners.

Basically this means, that they are now no longer stocking or selling the refurb licences for Windows 7.

After some digging around, and contacting a few companies, I have so far found 2 who are stocking them.

Micro P - www.exertismicro-p.co.uk

Costings of the licences from Micro P are comparable with those we used to get from VIP.

Just a heads up for all UK techs who are authorised refurbishers.

PS, Mickey Soft were less than useless. When I contacted them, they simply said, all of our distributors are on the website. (Well they may be, but the site needs updating!. VIP no longer, Another co, do not stock refurb coa's, another co - tel no leads nowhere..)

Thanks should go to julian (justinspired), as he set the ball rolling prior to xmas, when looking for some refurb coa's. He contacted his rep at vip, who said stopped doing them. I rang my rep at vip, and told nope thats wrong we are doing them, just none in stock.

Then today i emailed, and got the full story..

Im just so pleased that we can still get them from somewhere to be honest. Pickings are exteemely slim on the ground when it comes to thse coas'sc

Ingram Micro also stock them, but don't list the part numbers/prices on their website, so you have to call for pricing. The lady there to talk to is Stephanie Davis-Lyons (01908 323031), but she does only work on Thursdays & Fridays!

I did know about this a while ago. Sad news.

My account manager is Bryan Worrall and he is brilliant, cannot fault him at all.

Enta appear to have deleted my account.

PS Tier 1 can refurb systems very cheaply to save me the hassle!

Speak to Ellie at Enta a she is the MS account manager, Enta also supply to Northamber who in turn supply to Ebuyer, so Enta are IMHO the point to go too
