Move Glued Touchpad

I have to change out the palm rest on a MSI GP75 laptop. Before moving all hardware over I keep looking at the touchpad that appears to be glued down to backside of plastic external touchpad surface. I imagine heat will assist with removal but what glue or adhesive do I use to attach it to the new palm rest?
