Hey guys,

Need some help w/ this one.

Customer says he did not recently uninstall any programs. SAS did find/remove some infections. Not sure if this may be virus related or not.

I ran sfc /scannow > win xp CD & windows does not find the file on the cd.

We get the missing DLL on boot every time. If we boot into safe mode, the error is not there.

Any suggestions?

No suggestions, but when I first read this I saw. .. "oh my f#cking g@d.dll" as the file name. Ha, ha

lol - yep that's about how I feel.

I come up with Microsoft Money when I search "ofx" alone, I don't know if that has any bearing on this or not...

I suggest you backup the data from the drive, verify that you have it all, then run a full scan of the hard drive with a program like MHDD. It may not be the hard drive, but the data on it is the only thing that you cannot replace.

Wonder of wonders -

Ran CCleaner/registry cleaner & the problem went away.

I believe we got it fixed! :)

That is good news.

Did you test the hard drive? I know that it is extra time and work, but what do you tell the client if the drive suddenly crashes tomorrow or in a week? Hopefully, at the very least, you have ensured that their data is being backed up.
