Mac warranty and date of purchase

I have a client with a few Macs that were installed about 1.5 years ago by a previous IT company. I'm trying to determine if they have extended Apple Care warranties or not. When going to the Apple service page, it asks to validate the purchase date of the machine. We know when the Macs were installed but not purchased.

Any way to verify this other than contact the previous IT guys?

Thanks altrenda, that's the site that I've already gone to and populated the serial with. It asks to verify the purchase date with some drop down menus, but even though we're entering roughly when the Macs were installed (and going back a few weeks) it does not accept that as an answer!

Not sure what 14049752 has pm'd you about but I have access to Apples service website so can check warranties etc.
if you want to pm me the serial numbers of the macs I can look them up.
However it isn't always accurate and AppleCare extended warranties don't always show up.
Does the client not have their original invoice for the equipment?

14049752 has helped me out via PM (Thanks again!) and the warranty is very much expired. I've asked the client to dig up any information he can regarding the warranty period of the units. If he finds any additional warranty on the invoice, we'll contact the original IT guys and see if we can get more information.

^^^ What he said. Depending on how the purchase went down Apple Care is not always properly recorded. Another option is to get the date of manufacture and then add 90 days as date of purchase.

They have an awesome service for monitoring macs, super cheap, and it does all this stuff totally for you.

I would HIGHLY recommend anyone doing anything with Mac support in any way to check them out - seems like total no-brainer.

Works great with Macs and is also super cheap.

I did a trial last year. While it was simple and looked nice it did seem somewhat limited at the time. Such as no remote connections.

I use MAXFocus and they have recently purchased a Mac MSP company. So I'm going to hold off and see what that news brings to the existing service offering. They're picking up the pace with new features and really closing the gap between some of the bigger players.
