Looking to go solo

Regarding the form of business: An LLC won't protect your personal assets if you're the one doing the work. It's good if you employ people or subcontract parts of jobs. It's kind of a waste if you're a one man shop, as you lose the main benefit, and gain the extra paperwork.

I'll take a web site with great PR made by a 3rd grader over a professional site that ranks poorly. You can build your own professional site yourself and pay to get the PR. I'm just saying.

Personally, I'd rather have a site that shows up on the top of the SERPs than a high PR site. :D

Am reading a book called 80/20 principle the gist of which is that 80% of profit, business, whatever comes from only 20% of activity - figuring out which 20% is the trick.

Applying the 80/20 principle rule to having a successful IT support business would be a recipe for success. The key to 80/20 success is when u identify which 20% of marketing, or clients, or services u offer are bringing in that 80% - then u focus all ur effort and attention there.
