Looking for a copywriter to produce regular newsletters

I need to improve my communication to clients. Basically as marketing BUT it needs to have much more of a valuable content and useful resource for them (along with a few sales bits).

Anyway despite best intentions I have not done one for years and I simply don't have the time (and probably not the skills in copywriting/marketing).

I have checked some of the freelancer sites and there are just so many, but I want someone who knows the IT Support industry and preferably is allready writing newsletters (just as long as its not for my competitor down the road :)) as that will improve the quality and end costs of doing it on a monthly basis.

So I am asking for:
a/ any Links to pre-developed ones/templates or resources

or better still

b/ any referrals to Copywriters who actually do this work that I can build a business relationship with and outsource the newsletter production on a regular basis.

Any recommendations / referrals or advice from fellow Technibblers gratefully recieved

I would like it too! I do my own and I hate it. I spend hours formatting it, even after I have the freaking content. I tried to hire a lady once, she sent me a template she liked, I hated it. She wanted to charge $149 for the template, $25 a week to do the formatting/sending. I thought that it was a good deal, until she just never emailed me back one day and I found a backlink from her fivver site to my site, looks like she couldn't find anyone out there to do the work for $5. LOL

If you like my newsletters, you can have a copy of the template. If I can figure out how to get you one. I just made a new one for 2012.

Association of Computer Repair Business Owners

Monthly Newsletter contains:
Home Computing and Business Computing Tip of the Month

Fully customizable (I take out many things i.e. testimonials etc but you can edit them to use yours if you want)

Example: http://cmonova.com/augnewsletter/index.html

I have done this kind of thing for some businesses in the past so might be able to help out. I run a computer business so have knowledge of the topics that customers may be interested in. I have knocked up a sample for anybody that is interested, you can view it at:

technotrouble.co.uk /samplenewsletter (without the spaces, I can't post urls yet)

Obviously there is millions more topics that could be covered but that is a just a little example based on what has worked well for other businesses I have worked with.

Let me know what you think and if I can be of any help to anyone please let me know.

Thats really decent of you. The thing that has me a little worried is the 'all rights reserved' copyright notice on the bottom. So you're saying you're ok with people taking this work and using it as their own? and that this use of the material constitutes an exception to the rights you are reserving?

What I was saying is that was an "example" of a newsletter that is done monthly. Each month you get the content, layout etc and can do whatever you want with it. You want to put "all rights reserved" on the bottom that is fine with me.

I got in contact with this fellow through an email list I belong to for SMB IT owners when he was asking for folks to give his service a test drive. I've used the Oct, Nov, and Dec newsletters he's provided me as a starting point to create my own newsletters. He plans to launch in January, I would give him a thumbs up and recommend it to y'all.

If you sign up with him, Please mention that Weiss Tech Solutions referred you. I don't know if he's going to do any kind of referral program but it never hurts to let him know. I'll be subscribing in January when it launches as well.

I tried to use this but the content in it was poor and not very consistent getting out on the same date. I haven't seen one in a couple of months. Somebody has to do better at this. NO offense.

Do you have links to your newsletters? I would like to see them.

No offense taken. The newsletter is actually on the acrbo website so in order to get it you have to take a minute to login and get it.

But, I don't agree with poor content, sometimes more is not better. But, like the other posters have said ManagedNewsletters.com is a great option if you are looking for alot of content (4 pages) each month.

Personally 4 pages is too much for my customers to read BUT it's still great content. I would recommend signing up and paying the $37 a month..

I assume that question was for me :)

All you have to do is go to managednewsletters.com and enter your email in the "Get a free edition" field and you will have a copy in your inbox shortly.

Hi cmonova,

Thanks for the recommendation:)

I tried to be generous with the articles so that the people who want to sub some articles with their own stories (which I highly recommend) they have enough choice to do that. You can also reduce it to a 2-pager if you wish.

In addition to the monthly mail-out (whether printed or electronic), the articles can be used individually in the company blog or Facebook page, which gives you more bang for your buck ;)

By poor I wasn't referring to quantity but quality of articles. Couple of times he was recommending products that I would not. They just didn't seem well or even on a tech subject a few times. Just wasn't impressed with him.

Already done though I would like to see more then one issue before I commit. Sample issues are always the best work.

Which is what I am looking for. Something to stockpile and use. A large content per month lets me do by-weekly newsletters if I want to.

Sounds interesting

Please post information

As a former English major I don't have much trouble coming up with what to write...it's just finding the time to write it.

This month it's:

Why toolbars are never a good idea
Password safety, and a mention of what happened to Mat honan
Sale on laptops
How to extend the life of your computer
Cloud backup

Already done though I would like to see more then one issue before I commit. Sample issues are always the best work.

FYI the "sample" issue is the actual November issue :)

Not sure how you will see another issue if you don't subscribe ;) You should subscribe to get the December issue (it won't cost you a dime the first month) and if by January you don't like the service you can cancel and I'll refund you your January fee. So in total that will give you 3 issues for you to check the service without any risk on your part.

I hope that makes sense :)

I am interested as well. Are your articles targeted mostly at business owners, or is there also home-oriented content that would be useful for the residential market?

Not sure if you asked me this question by email but here's the answer if others are curious.

The content and articles are geared mostly towards business owners/managers and about 30% of the articles are suitable for residential customers/home users.

Thanks :)
