Local Newspaper Advertising

I've just been quoted £73.42 for a boxed ad in my local newpaper (which includes a free ad in the local freeads paper) - how does this compare to what others pay, assuming others use newspaper advertising?

What sort of response rates do you see from newspaper advertising?

I pay €35 for a boxed advert. About £26. Average about 15 calls per week. Slow to begin with but over time it's well worth it.

I have had little results from the Newspaper - barely covered the cost. But you never know!!
