As recommended by Evernet on Podnutz, I've started using Comm100 which is free live chat software for websites.

I've had it for a coupla weeks now and I need to change the stock graphics which are a bit naff. It quite nice to have the app running and see who's on my website, where they are from, the pages they visit etc.

Anyone else use this or something similar?

I use Comm100 live and I love it. I love the fact you can send out followup emails and of course view who is on your page and location. I also have the app on my iphone so when im away from my pc I can still chat if needed.

I am currently using LiveHelpNow.net. I like Comm100, but there is currently no android support. With LiveHelpNow, I dont have to be at my computer to answer chat sessions. Not to mention, I like the interface better. I think it looks more professional. When I join a chat, a picture of myself will also load so the customer knows who they are talking to.

The only downside is that this software isn't free, but the price is only $9.00 a month.

Ditto on Olark. I was using LiveChatInc.com, but the pricing for multiple operators was too steep. So far, I love the way Olark integrates with my website. Check it out if you get a chance.www.PasoRoblesTech.com. The chat box appears in the lower right corner of the site with a nice slide-in graphic (that can be closed down if the client prefers). I am using Google Talk with it now, but also really liked the Pidgin chat program. It works without issue on my Android as well.

I really like LiveZilla. I have been using it for 2-3 years on a number of different websites and can't complain. It has great features like chat logging, ratings, canned messages, etc. It is really jam packed with features, and has some "premium" perks that take it a step further. I have it on my website if you would like to check it out.

We just installed chat4support on our website and admins can download the admin software to monitor a few things (this tool for as cheap it is is freaking AMAZING)

We plugged in the chat module on the website
People can auto chat with us and we could turn it into a helpdesk ticket system
Since we are a live helpdesk and adding on night/weekened support soon, this may be the ticket we are looking for to get more real clients off the site versus tire kickers.
There are tons of features we haven't even tried yet

It's kinda neat.
And I don't want to tease anyone, but if you go check them out, there are TONS of back end things that are really cool.

As a social media freak, I am loving the tool.

I would like software that is linked to my mobile, that I can use to chat with customers/clients through SMS which relays the message back to them via the chat console

I think it would be much easier because you would be able to be online 24/7, not being restricted to when you're at your computer

If I don't find something like this I may try to develop it, but I'm sure it exists... anyone heard of anything like this?

Once again Olark uses Google Talk which you should be able to get on Android phones. Some of the other ones mentioned should also have a mobile feature as well.
