Hi all, I'm looking for some input on a suitable app to carry out live chat between several Windows 7 and Windows 10 PC's that are not networked but all internet connected.
For their own reasons, the business owner wants to keep the PC's 'individual', and for that reason want to use the internet for the communication and would like chat to be on-screen on each PC during working hours. I've come across several apps both free and subscribed, that will probably work but wondered if anyone had experience of a program(s) like these and their benefits pitfalls before putting forward a plan?

That was the first thing that came to my mind too but from my conversation with the owner, they don't like the idea of users using/creating accounts that they don't have full control of and which tends to make me think 3rd party app is where they'll need to be. Unfortunately I don't have any experience of the 3rd party options and was looking for input

Skype via Office 365. Business maintains full control of the account.

I think you can buy just Skype for business by itself as well, if cost is a concern.
