Lenovo Windows 8 Downgrade

Oh man... That sucks! I went through a similar situation recently with the same model.

Like you found out Lenovo royally screwed up on a small subset of the Thinkpads.

Luckily my client was able to return it to the big box he bought it from.

So after all this, I still haven't received the two machines I sent in yet. Also, of my next batch of 4, 3 were bad. 1 is already sold and that leaves me with zero inventory to sell until I get them back. Very poory luck on this one!

But-- it did make me think of something. How would I sysprep these machines? Say I were to get 5 laptops for a business and wanted them identical -- would I not need the Windows 7 license key in order to be able to sysprep them?

I am absolutely fuming. I still don't have the other 4 laptops I sent in to Lenovo and I have lost over $1800 due to my inability to have laptops in stock (I spent all my cash on the Lenovos) When I spoke to them on the phone, they said a couple days here and 3 days here and a couple days back here -- to me that was about 7-10 business days. Now it's over 14 days and I'm inventory-less on laptops. If Dell did something like this, I think they would send a technician to my shop--I'm seriously considering dropping Lenovo as a partner.
